12th Sunday in Ordinary Time There are times in life when each of us needs to make decisions that will affect the rest of our lives: Should I be married? Should I raise children? What career should I pursue? The decisions that we make will affect the direction our lives take; but the most profound life changing decision that any human person will ever make is their personal decision about who Jesus Christ is. Is Jesus the “Christ of God” as St. Peter proclaimed, or is he not? The decision is personal because the question comes to us from Jesus himself: “who do you say that I am?”  To proclaim Jesus as the Son of God means he will save our lives but it also means that there will be struggles to endure. Sometimes hardships will be required of us for the sake of loving Jesus, which may not make sense to us. But faithfully loving Jesus brings the joy of heaven, after all the hardships of life have passed away. Jesus never promised that Christian life would be easy, but he did promise that Christian life would be worth it.

REMINDER -  SUMMER MASS TIME  IS 10:30am

F.O.O.D. The June list of food items for F.O.O.D. (Feed Others of Dartmouth) is located at the entrance of the Church.  There are still several food items needed.  If you wish to support this worthy cause by donating food please sign your name to the list.  Without your continued help this good work of our Parish would not be possible.  We will come together to prepare the meals on this Friday evening, June 25th.  If you are able to assist, please meet us at the Church Hall at 6pm

St. Vincent de Paul Society Your support is requested again this summer to help fill the shelves with food so the St. Vincent de Paul Society can provide food to those in need.  Please place donations of non-perishable food items in the box provided at the entrance to the Church. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

3rd Annual BBQ/Family Fun Day took place yesterday.  We are so blessed to have Parishioners and friends so generous to give their support by their donations of time, talents and items for the penny auction, baked goods, flea market items, food items, sucker pull and fish pond. Without this continued support of events such as yesterday’s Fun Day it would not be possible and certainly not as successful. As you know all funds raised yesterday will go towards helping repay for our new roof. Thank you so very much! God Bless everyone who helped make yesterday such a success!

Happy Father’s Day!

Father’s Day As in the past, medals will be given out to all fathers of our Parish on this Father’s Day after Mass. The medal this morning is of St. Jude, Patron Saint of Lost Causes. May this be a Blessed and Happy day for all fathers of our Parish and Fathers everywhere. May all the deceased fathers of our Parish be blessed by the joy of the Heavenly Kingdom. Today we pray for all those who have the vocation of fatherhood in our Parish and community. May God bless you in all you do in the care and love of your children.
